The "official" large, noisy and dusty camp about 65 km south from Waw an Namus crater almost directly at the central line of the eclipse.

From Camp 1 to camp 2 (11 hours). Red crosses mark positions during the trip; at K4 we had lunch, K7 and K8 are near the Waw an Namus crater; near K9 the drivers lost the way to the camp. The green circle (OBS) marks the observation point for viewing the eclipse on the next day.
