TEMPERATURE DROP

Details

The temperature drops of about 5°C in shadow and 8°C in
sunshine were smaller than during the total solar eclipses in 1999 and 2001
(see below). Minimum temperature was reached about 6 minutes after the
end of totality. Measurements in shadow:
140 cm above ground Measurements in sun shine:
70 cm above ground Digital thermometers with small external sensors (white color)
were used. |
